What materials do you use?
I use artist grade materials, mediums, and finishes in my work. Details are provided for each individual piece. High quality materials are a pleasure to work with and the results last.
Will the painting look just like the photo?
I do my best to make sure the photographs depict my work as accurately as possible. But, colour varies depending on the device you use. Colour is also affected by your screen settings. Please be aware that the colour you see on your computer or phone may not be exactly the same as the artwork itself.
Will the art arrive ready to hang?
All paintings arrive ready to hang. You just have to decide where.
Work on paper is shipped unframed.
I’m not 100% sure of my choice. Can you help?
Trust your gut—and measure! If you need more reassurance please get in touch. I can Photoshop the painting into a photograph of your space as well as provide more photographs and video of the piece(s) you’re considering.
And if you’re in Toronto, or somewhere between Barrie and Bracebridge, I’m happy to bring a couple of paintings to your home. Then we can see how the piece looks in your space and I can make suggestions about placement and hanging.
How do I look after my art?
Avoid hanging paintings, or any other artwork, in direct sunlight for extended periods. Dust paintings occasionally using a soft, clean cloth or brush.
What are my payment options?
All prices are in Canadian dollars.
I accept all major credit cards and standard forms of online payment like PayPal and Apple Pay.
If you live in Canada, e-transfer is another option that doesn’t incur any fees. Contact me via email at ls@lindsaysmailart.com and let me know which piece you’re buying. I’ll give you an invoice with the total cost, then you send me the e-transfer. (I have autodeposit, so we don’t need to mess about with passwords.)

Can I pick up from your studio?
Yes! Paintings are available for pickup at my studio about 10 minutes outside of Washago, Ontario (between Orillia & Gravenhurst, off Highway 11). Click the Local Pickup option at Checkout.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping in Canada or the continental United States is free.
If you’re in Simcoe County, southern Muskoka, or the old City of Toronto, delivery may be possible. It’s always nice to meet in person, if my schedule permits.
For international orders, email me for a quote on shipping based on your address. Please note that any taxes or duties are the responsibility of the purchaser.

How do you wrap the artwork for shipping?
Very carefully! It depends on the size, but each piece is carefully wrapped with additional protection on each corner. Then they’re nestled in a customized cardboard box. Whenever possible, I reuse and repurpose packing material.
