Any variation between the image represented and the actual artwork is not deemed a fault and such inconsistencies will not be a valid reason for return.

Purchasing

How is my payment handled?

I accept all standard forms of online payment including major credit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payments are processed in Canadian dollars. You do not need a PayPal account to purchase; you can use the PayPal service to pay with your regular debit or credit card. We do not store any of your debit/credit details.

If you have a Canadian bank account, another option is to pay via e-transfer (no fees). Please contact me at ls@lindsaysmailart.com. Let me know which painting you’re interested in and I’ll send you an invoice for the total amount (including applicable taxes) which you can pay using e-transfer. I have auto-deposit so there’s no fussing about with passwords.

Canadian purchasers will be charged HST/GST based on your shipping address.

Shipping

I have placed my order. How soon will I receive my artwork?

Shipping times can vary in ways we can’t control. Orders will be packed and shipped with 5 working days. Most Canadian shipments arrive within 3 days.

If you’re address is local and I’m able to deliver, I will contact you to arrange a mutually convenient time.

If you need delivery by a specific date, please contact me first to make sure it can reach you in time. There may be an extra charge for rush deliveries according to your requirements.

Can I collect my artwork from your studio?

Absolutely. Please send me an email and we can work out a time to meet. My studio at the very southern edge of Muskoka, Ontario. If you’re heading up Highway 11 it’s an easy stop on the way.

Is shipping included?

Shipping is included in the price if you live in Canada or the United States. The only exception are pieces larger than 48×24″. Those require a custom shipping quote.

If youre in Simcoe County, southern Muskoka, or the old City of Toronto, delivery may be possible. Its always nice to meet in person, if my schedule permits.

If you live outside Canada or the US, please contact me to discuss shipping options.

What about large or high-value artworks?

I appreciate this is a high value purchase—and a piece of work I have spent a lot of time on! It’s important for both of us to make sure it is transported safely. Larger paintings require a bespoke packing and shipping costs need to be quoted individually. Please send me an email so we can discuss shipping options before the artwork is dispatched. If you buy online first in order to secure the painting the shipping cost will be billed separately after agreement. If youre in Simcoe County, southern Muskoka, or the old City of Toronto, delivery may be possible. Its always good to meet in person, if my schedule permits.

How will my painting be wrapped?

Paintings will be carefully packaged to protect delicate corners and the surface of the painting. Each one is unique so I take care that it is well packaged and that it arrives in perfect condition. I try to reuse shipping materials whenever possible.

Can you ship internationally?

Yes, I can ship to most countries, although it will take longer to arrive depending on your location. Please send me an email so we can discuss the options; or if you want to secure this painting, you can pay for it now and we can add shipping costs later. If none of the options are acceptable to you, I will cancel your order and issue a full refund.

International shipments may be subject to import duties and taxes according to the laws of the destination country. Any additional charges are at the customer’s expense. We have no control over these charges and accept no responsibility for additional charges.

Shipping costs contribute towards packing supplies, labour, and transit fees.

Returns

What if my painting arrives and I don’t like it?

I want you to be completely happy with your new artwork.

If a piece is not as you expect, you have 7 days to contact me by email and request a refund. Once a return has been agreed upon, you are responsible for packing and arranging return delivery via the same method it was sent to you by. Once the piece has been safely returned we will refund your payment as soon as possible (typically within 2 weeks), minus the cost of shipping or delivery.

What if my painting arrives damaged?

All work is carefully packed and wrapped. If you receive a work that has been damaged in transit, please contact us within 7 days. Also, please photograph the damaged packaging and photograph any damage to the piece.

What about international returns?

At this time we are unable to offer a refund or return on any product(s) sent outside of Canada.

If you have any further questions please get in touch before placing your order.
