Immersion

My newest work depicts the joyful experience of immersion in water and the natural world.  I use abstraction to convey a sense of communion, sensuality, and interconnection. Water is my first love and these paintings were inspired by  paddling and swimming through the landscapes of Muskoka and northern Simcoe in Ontario (my neighbourhood).

While these works are quite colourful, the prevailing impression is one of tranquility and peace.
